In this video, Martha Zink discusses a few of the new FileMaker 12 features in Layout mode: Dynamic guides, [manual] guides, and the grid. She also mentions the new way in which Layout mode handles object selection, where any object touched while drag-selecting will be selected, instead of only selecting objects that are fully surrounded (like in previous versions of FileMaker).
