Salesforce has evolved from a sales-centric product to an extensive cloud-based platform that can be used for a variety of solutions and can extend throughout your organization. Soliant focuses on unlocking the best possible value from Salesforce for our clients: we make small changes and large, as a team needs, leveraging both the pre-built cloud products and custom development.

Salesforce Development covers a wide range of possible challenges and technologies. In a nutshell, we have a flexible toolbox for making Salesforce your own.

Apex and Visualforce Development

Development in Salesforce begins by creating objects and fields that store your data. We then craft workflows and validation rules that automate business processes and protect both data and process integrity. For more complex automation and processing, we turn to Apex, Salesforce’s Java-like programming language. Visualforce and Lightning development then augments the standard Salesforce user experience with rich, custom interfaces.

  • Visualforce
  • Process Builder
  • Heroku
  • Lightning
  • Web Services

Soliant Consulting follows well-established best practices for Apex and Visualforce development: version control, continuous integration, and development standards all help to ensure smooth process and clean code in the end.

Click First, Code Second

Of course, writing code isn’t always necessary: there are often efficient alternatives.

Soliant excels in business consulting and can help you find not just an answer to a problem, but the ideal answer in Salesforce. In many cases, we can identify how using out-of-the-box solutions may make the best sense.

Systems Integration

No technology, even one as capable as Salesforce, lives in a vacuum. A successful technology strategy for any company, large or small, has to include using a variety of tools to serve the business. Soliant specializes particularly in integrating Salesforce with other systems.

While the Data Loader in Salesforce can often be used for simple data exchange, a web service can simply sit and listen for new information and automate much of what would otherwise be a manual process.[/text]

A short list of our integration projects include having connected Salesforce and FileMaker, tied Box.com with Salesforce, and extended Salesforce to the Web with robust two-way integrations with Drupal. We use a web services API-driven approach, using Salesforce REST Services in nearly every case, but in some instances a reports-driven export or custom email handler can make sense.

We’re careful to specify integrations — we define inputs and outputs, craft use cases when procedures are included with the integration (on-demand or automated), and make sure endpoints perform well, follow proper standards (including error handling and data formats). We define whether they should operate in bulk and as a synchronous (immediate response) or asynchronous service.

Development Built on a Strong Foundation

Custom development depends on good process in order for a project to be a success: Soliant leads its work with experienced project managers and a well-defined software development process. Learn more…

AppExchange Development

Soliant has worked with a number of clients on their AppExchange apps. We understand the submission and security review process, can guide you on how to approach readying a solution for the AppExchange, and can help with making incremental improvements once the app goes live.

Soliant has built its own app, Trust-Based Selling, in partnership with Charlie Green.
