Intro to FileMaker Pro
Intro to FileMaker Pro is a hands-on class where students use FileMaker Pro 11 to learn how to use, customize, and create new database solutions. By the end of the day students will have built a basic database and understand how to apply this knowledge to their own projects.
This class is designed for novice and self-taught intermediate users who want to learn the general concepts of how to build and use a FileMaker Pro database. It is ideal for both students who have been using FileMaker for years and never had formal FileMaker training or have never used FileMaker before. This class offers step-by-step training and foundation skills needed to work more efficiently.
Classes are held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (the coffee's on at 8:30 a.m., so feel free to come early).
The class walks students through the basics of FileMaker Pro 11 including its various modes and how to navigate among records, layouts, tables and files. In the process of creating their database, students will learn how to work other file types such as images and external documents, organize data within the database, and create printable reports.
The class concludes with an overview of the help features and online resources for FileMaker Pro 11. Students will be well equipped to address many of the challenges they will face when they return to their organization.
