Hands-on, one-day class for learning how to build FileMaker databases with FileMaker Go.
Developing for FileMaker Go is a hands-on, one-day class for intermediate or advanced developers of FileMaker Pro databases. In it you will learn how to tailor FileMaker databases for use with FileMaker Go; come to understand some of the ways in which it differs from its desktop counterpart; cover security, scripting, and performance topics; and get a thorough grounding in real world applications for its use.
Deeply versed in this new product from FileMaker, Inc., Soliant Consulting authored both the FileMaker Go Technical Brief as well as the FileMaker Training Series module on FileMaker Go. We have also presented on the topic at user group meetings, in webinars, and at the FileMaker Developer Conference.
This class is designed for developers familiar with FileMaker Pro. You don't need to be an expert, but a solid understanding of scripting, script triggers, layouts, and other core essentials is required.
Classes are held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (the coffee's on at 8:30 a.m., so feel free to come early).

The class begins by covering the new FileMaker Go module from the authorized FileMaker Training Series and wraps up with additional advanced techniques and case studies from Soliant's consulting practice. The course is hands on; however, we do not provide iPhones/iPads: it will be extremely beneficial (but not an absolute requirement) that you have an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad available.
