The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a hunter, focusing exclusively on new business development for our Salesforce.com channel. The BDM will be responsible for new business revenue growth and exceeding new business revenue targets. Inherent in this role is developing and expanding ties to account executives and key management at Salesforce.com. The successful candidate will have a well-developed, verifiable "Rolodex" of contacts at Salesforce.com and potential client companies. This position reports to Soliant's CEO and provides benefits, including medical, dental and 401(k) match.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for annual sales targets.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding established sales metrics and activities
- Building and growing the volume of new client Salesforce.com engagements for Soliant's key offerings, including projects, service contracts and efforts such as user adoption.
- Responsible for client satisfaction through quality of interaction and performance of project teams.
- Growing revenue with existing clients through building trusted, long term relationships.
- Creation of sales documents including Statements of Work and Term Sheets.
- Collaborate with Soliant Marketing team in creation of Salesforce.com specific marketing collateral.
- Provide thought leadership around establishing Salesforce.com training programs at Soliant locations.
- Serving as a mentor to others involved in the sales process.
Expectations for a Successful Candidate
- Has started and grown a sales territory at least twice.
- Has excellent business skills and a demonstrated track record of sound decision making leading to revenue growth.
- Will develop and execute a territory business plan with support from Soliant management.
- Has a demonstrated track record of working and developing relationships virtually.
- Has a well-developed, verifiable "Rolodex" of contacts at Salesforce.com and potential client companies and will share these contacts across the Soliant sales team.
- Will exceed a sales quota in the first 12 months through identification of sales and revenue opportunities with prospects and current customers.
- Will be available for up to 15% travel with occasional overnight stays.
