
Bob Bowers
Bob Bowers, CEO and co-founder of Soliant Consulting, is widely known for his expertise in the field of software development. He is a columnist and technical editor for FileMaker Advisor magazine, a recipient of the FileMaker Fellowship Award, and has co-authored six books on database development. In 2008 he was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
After graduating summa cum laude in Music and English at Wabash College, Bob earned a masters in musicology from the University of Chicago. He is still involved with music today, singing with Chicago Chorale and learning to play the banjo. Bob is a Chicagoland native and looks forward bringing his two young children to see his beloved Cubs.
Steve Lane
Steve Lane, Vice President, enjoys the intellectual challenge of applying the right process and tools to a problem to find the best solution, particularly for non-profit organizations. Before co-founding Soliant Consulting, he served as a Special Projects Developer at Scott Foreman, a leading K-6 Educational publisher. Steve is a five-time published author, regular conference speaker, and recipient of the FileMaker Fellowship Award for cutting-edge database development practices.
Hailing from Pennsylvania, Steve studied History at Yale University and then earned both a PhD in History and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Chicago. Steve is still waiting for Johann Sebastian Bach to run out of music, but so far the Leipzig music director is holding his own.
Scott Love
Scott Love, COO, has always been passionate about new technologies, formerly serving as Managing Editor at Ziff-Davis Interactive, a Web Publishing Technology Evangelist at Apple Computer, and then head of a Technical Marketing team at Macromedia. Scott has written four books on database development and he regularly contributes to technology publications and conferences.
An avid reader and lover of language, Scott holds a BA in English Literature from Colorado College, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honors association. Scott enjoys taking his son to his home state of Colorado to visit the mountains and when in California tinkers in his garden. |
